Stawley Wood Farm
Stawley Wood is a small, family-run working farm set in the beautiful rolling hills on the Somerset and Devon border. The views from the cottages are glorious & reach to the Blackdown Hills. The tranquillity is almost tangible whatever the season.

What's on offer at Stawley Wood Farm?

Accommodation at Stawley Wood Farm
Three cottages have been sensitively converted from an original but redundant farm building, dating from the 15th century.

The cottages are unusual in that the bedrooms and bathroom are downstairs with the daily living area upstairs.
All the cottages are English Tourist Board 4 star awarded.

The cottages are all cosy, yet light and airy and full of charm. Each has double glazing throughout and a traditional wood burner upstairs. A supply of logs is provided and more can be purchased from the owners as required. In places, 500 year-old beams and original stone walls add to the character. All cottages are fitted to the same high standard.Upstairs, each cottage is open-plan with a wood-effect floor, attractive, functional window shutters, high ceilings and beautifully-equipped kitchen and dining area. The kitchens
Each kitchen has a fridge, microwave and electric cooker with fan-assisted oven and separate grill. Shippon and Cider cottages each have dishwashers. The living areas
All of the sitting rooms are well equipped with TV, video, music system and a sofa bed for extra guests. The bedrooms
The bedrooms are carpeted and electrically heated. Every bath/shower room has underfloor heating.

Laundry facilities
Every cottage has a washing machine. In the communal drying room there is a freezer and tumble dryer.

Extra touches
Bed linen and towels are provided together with cleaning materials. A welcome supply of tea and coffee will greet you upon your arrival to help you unwind, relax and enjoy your countryside experience.

Outside
From a large, adjacent car park to the north of the cottages (from where a well-marked countryside walk is accessible), the front doors lead into the open plan living rooms. Downstairs, the bedrooms and bathroom open into a large enclosed South-facing courtyard, which is a real suntrap.

The Courtyard
The Courtyard is equipped with barbecues and garden furniture.

SHIPPON COTTAGE
Has three bedrooms and is very spacious upstairs

STABLE COTTAGE
Has one bedroom with a king size bed and separate bathroom.

CIDER COTTAGE - Easy access
Has two bedrooms and has been adapted for wheelchair use. A stair lift enables ease of access to and from the ground floor.

Room for the whole, extended family!
All the cottages are interlinked with soundproofed, fireproofed and independently locked double doors. The cottages can be joined together so can sleep four, six, eight, ten, twelve or eighteen people (including sofabeds).
