Horse Holidays at Liscombe Farm

To ride a horse or pony whilst on holiday must be one of the best ways to appreciate the beauty and serenity of Exmoor's unrivalled landscape. Escorted rides for the novice or experienced rider take place on and hourly or daily basis, all year round. Or bring your own horse and enjoy glorious rides over open Exmoor moorland, with its picturesque, heather-covered hills and river valleys.

Liscombe has direct access to many gentle trails, picturesque bridleways that criss-cross the heather-covered moorland, or steeply wooded valleys that lead down to sparkling river valleys. Exmoor's character varies enormously throughout the seasons, making autumn and winter-time breaks just as special as summer ones.

The area is rich in wildlife and you may see the famous Exmoor ponies grazing on Winsford Hill, or catch a glimpse of the elusive wild red deer herds during your stay. The spectacular North Devon coast and wide sandy beaches of Woolacombe and Saunton Sands are a short drive to the North and the delightful town of Dulverton, headquarters of the National Park, is only four miles away.

Livery at Liscombe Farm Stables

For those visitors with their own horses, we can offer stabling with DIY or Full Livery is available if desired. There is a tack room, with hot and cold water supply; hay and straw bedding available by arrangement; and paddocks and grazing are available adjacent to the stables.

Riding Liscombe Farm's own Horses...
Our quality horses and ponies will help you get the most from your riding and the accent is on a friendly, fun environment for all the family. We ride in small groups and hard hats are provided if you don't have one of your own. (Small chiildren's half hour lead available).
