Most of the guest rooms feature stone fireplaces with western and southwestern style furnishings and personal touches that will make you feel perfectly at home.
And there's no shortage of pampering after a day's riding - you can enjoy the heated, spring-fed swimming pool and Jacuzzi complete with waterfall; the Indoor sauna and Jacuzzi; the Fitness center and Massage Therapy.
C Lazy U is very much a family ranch where children are welcomed and catered for. A typical 'day in the life' of the Ranch in both the summer and winter season is filled with exhilarating outdoor activities. You can pick and choose the level of activities to suit your lifestyle and mix and match. Or, you can simply relax, chill out and breathe in the clean mountain air, read that book you've been meaning to get around to reading but never found the time, and recharge your batteries. The choice is all yours.
A typical day starts with coffee in the Lodge followed by family breakfast. Then the fun begins for the kids with a range of supervised outdoor things to do including sleigh rides, cross country ski lessons and horseback rides. When the evening beckons adults can look forward to a pleasant dinner, again knowing the teens and kids are having a whale of a time separately, enjoying dinner before reuniting last thing to catch up on what's been happening during their day.
The summer activities program runs from June through to September (Sept. is for adults only). The winter activities program runs from mid December to mid February.
Horsemanship at C Lazy U Ranch
At C Lazy U Ranch, you will be introduced to a horse that perfectly fits your individual riding ability and you can refine your horsemanship skills as you enjoy the riding holiday of a lifetime.
The horses range from gentle to spirited and your riding partnership will develop based on patience and mutual respect. The wranglers guide the mountain trail rides and expert horsemanship lessons are available. The 12,000 square foot, heated indoor riding arena provides year-round riding enjoyment .
There is
a big "Shodeo" at the end of each week which includes horseback riding competitions and equestrian skill events. The kids are the highlight of the show, as they tout the skills they've acquired throughout the week.
