The Native Pony & Cob Saddle Company Ltd |
The Native Pony Saddle Company has been established for over 10 years with Andrea Hicks responsible for the designs since 2002.
These saddles are specially designed for wider horses, ponies and cobs to overcome the challenges of wide saddle fitting, solutions including innovative designs such as 4 girth straps so that relevant adjustments can be made. All saddles are handmade in England on British trees by qualified saddlers using top quality leathers. and are made in England from high quality leather with attention to detail and comfort. We do not make saddles for anyone else, quality is our highest priority. They compare to saddles twice the price.
Andrea Hicks
Andrea Hicks, designer and owner of Native Pony & Cob Saddles, has been fitting saddles for over 20 years and selling saddles for even longer. Over that time she developed an interest in cobs and native pony breeds, and the unique saddle design and fitting issues that go with them. She believes strongly that products have to evolve to suit the changing requirements of customers and their horses, and to that end also developed Phoenix Saddles to sit alongside The Native Pony Saddle Company range. |

Placing an order for a Native Pony saddle
|
You can either follow the direction below, or, if you prefer, please contact us to arrange for us to come and visit you for a saddle fitting (subject to a call out charge).
Placing an Order
Make a template and take a photograph of your horse from the side, without a saddle on standing square.
How to take a Horse's Template:
1) Take a flexi-curve or something similar, pen and paper.
2) Find the horse's shoulder, place the flexi-curve two fingers behind the shoulder, over the withers (should be pointing down towards the girthing area).
3) Press the flexi-curve in to the horse's shape, keeping it straight at both sides, with the horse standing up square.
4) Place the flexi-curve on the paper on the paper and draw around the inside. Check a few times for accuracy.
5) Write your name, address and telephone number on the same piece of paper.
We need to know the following information:
1) Which type of saddle do you require?
2) What size seat do you need?
3) Which colour, most come in either very dark brown or black.
4) What breed is your horse?
5) What height is your horse?
6) How tall and how heavy is the rider?
Posted saddles take 24 hours (48 hours in some parts of the country) to arrive and come with a 7 days trial with full refund minus the postage (subject to terms and conditions)
Delivery: All goods are subject to availability and providing an item is in stock, should be delivered within 2 to 3 working days. All saddles require signing for. We endeavour to inform you should there be any delays due to heavy demand.
