Stabling |
The planning and construction of a stabling complex is paramount to the welfare of your animals and the practical working of the yard.
The various styles of these robust units are all constructed of well-seasoned selected timber. Shiplap boarding exteriors are treated with premier quality weatherproofing and all boxes are fitted with anti-chewing strips and kick-over bolts on lined bottom doors. All loose boxes are built from complete sections and all standard boxes have sliding perspex windows and galvanised mesh. De-luxe boxes are lined to the eaves, have heavy duty fittings and louvre windows.
Integration of corner boxes as workshops, haystores, offices, foaling boxes, tractor sheds etc - to provide a greater working environment - should be considered during the design/layout stage. |

Although loose boxes are the prime considerations for stabling yards, corner boxes and storage units are designed to be incorporated into most layouts. Any one of our standard sizes will generally meet your specific requirements. A carefully planned and positioned feed barn or storage unit will enhance the stabling yard and help to reduce the daily workload.
A standard construction comprises softwood framing with double uprights at corner sections and triple section joints with external cladding of treated quality European/Scandinavian softwood shiplap that has proved to be a match for all weather conditions. |

Field Shelters |
Sturdy shelters constructed from top quality softwood timber and treated to withstand the most severe weather conditions.
All shelters have apex designed roofs with a choice of covering (corrugated, mineral felt, etc) with or without overhang, and are built to suit your exact specifications, providing the best protection for your animals.
Units are half-lined with 5-ply plyboard and may be staked or bolted down for added stability. The rigid framework has double thickness at section joints and corners.
Partitions, kicking boards, sliprails and other fittings are available and can be incorporated within the design to enhance the quality of the basic shelter.

The accommodation for riders is in the family farmhouse with breakfast and any additional meals. Riding is excellent with direct access onto tracks and Exmoor, so no road riding is necessary.
