Welcome to Pound Cottage Riding Centre |
Pound Cottage is situated in the heart of Dorset on a 500 acre farm. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside, woodland and many bridlepaths, which give a range of superb hacking - with no roadwork necessary.
Riders are assessed before hacking. Lessons are available in a covered school and floodlit arena.

Every Wednesday Morning- One hour's ride, coffee and biscuits and 45 minutes stable management . Enjoy riding and taking care of your own horse for the morning - also meeting friendly new people! Adults only. 10am - 12am. £30. Please book.

Pound Cottage is a small, family run centre. We teach adults and children. Small group or private lessons are available. We take all ages - from 4 years old upwards.
Learn about Stable Management...
We teach stable management as well as riding, to give the riders a good all-round knowledge of horses.
Riding for the Disabled...
We have a RDA (Riding for Disabled Association) group on Friday mornings (The Milton Abbas Group) and helpers are always welcome.

How to get to Pound Cottage Riding Centre
We are situated one and a half miles from the A354, Blandford to Dorchester road. Between the Milton Arms pub at Winterborne Whitechurch and the picturesque village of Milton Abbas. We are only 10 minutes from Blandford and 20 minutes from Dorchester. |
