Wit's End Guest Ranch goes to great lengths to provide a first class dining experience and you can enjoy candlelit dinners in 'The Old Lodge at The Lake' - menus vary from Classic French to Classic Western BBQ!. This old, renovated barn is the 'centre piece' of the ranch and is a genuine hand hewn building restored to a high standard. There is nightly entertainment in the Crystal Tavern.

Horse riding at the Wit's End is a speciality. Every guest receives personal attention and all levels of ability and experience are catered for.

The ranch utilises 120 to 85 head of horses, so there's never a chance of being left out of any ride. There are around 1 million acres of the San Juan National Forest and 550 acres of private land in which to ride. And there is plenty of choice between trail riding or breathtaking mountain riding.

Lengths of rides vary - ranging from breakfast rides to lunch rides, one-hour riding to all-day riding. Some of the mountain rides go to an elevation of 13,000 feet ending with a spectacular view of the Continental Divide!

Instruction:
Wits End offers private individual lessons with an experienced instructor. You can also spend tim in the regulation rodeo arena to practice with a wrangler on any aspect of riding that you wish to master.

Special Programs:
Once a week, Wits End holds Gymkhana events in the arena. This is an opportunity for the guests, adults and children alike, to apply what they have learned for the week in competition with the other guests - and even the wranglers. Prizes are awarded to all who participate and it is a great time that you will not soon forget!
