This riding tour combines some of the oldest and best preserved haciendas with breathtaking scenarios in little known, unspoilt Uruguay. We ride from the traditional cattle breeding area to the Coast of Rocha, crossing the Bañados del Este Biosphere Reserve (UNESCO) - filled with over 400 species of birds and other wildlife like the capybara, sea turtle and the franca whale, Fast pace riding along the firm sandy beaches and across the grasslands on excellent horses. Traditional barbecues then riding through palm groves, beside inland lakes and on to old Portuguese forts or a beachside hotel for sunset. Rates include accommodation, meals and 8 riding days.
