Since 1958, people have put their trust in Ifor Williams Trailers - just ask an owner, they're not difficult to find.
As specialists in trailer design and engineering, we have continued to set the standard both in the UK and throughout much of Europe. We are an independent company with one focus: to build the best products on the market. Our extensive range includes everything from flatbed, general purpose and plant trailers to box van, tipping and livestock trailers - to name just a few of the products we offer.
More than 25,000 people choose Ifor Williams Trailers each year - but we're not standing still. Our dedicated investment in new technologies and materials ensures that our products continue to exceed the expectations of our customers. We know that quality, strength, value and ease of maintenance are of vital importance to you. That's why we've made them the driving force behind everything we do.
Flexibility
All horseboxes have a high grip front and rear ramp for the safe loading and unloading of your horse. Once in the horsebox, the side walls are protected by tough polypropylene kickboards, with the aluminium floor offering a lightweight but strong platform for extra piece of mind.
Stability
All horsebox trailers feature an exclusive beam axle and leaf spring suspension system which has been developed and refined for a safe and stable ride. Similar systems are widely used on commercial vehicles where performance under load is essential. Renowned for its durability and ease of maintenance the Ifor Williams beam axle system contributes significantly to the low depreciation of our horseboxes.
Safety & comfort
To ensure your horse is restrained securely and safely whilst travelling, the colour co-ordinated breast and breeching bars have multiple positions for length and two height positions. Colour co-ordinated interiors offer durable, yet comfortable side padding, and the heat-reflecting white aluminium roof helps keep your horse cool, even in the height of summer.
Built to last
The galvanised steel chassis and drawbars offer unbeatable corrosion protection. All our horsebox trailers are security marked and data tagged to deter the would-be thief and every detail is specified for top performance and a long, trouble free life.
HB505 Horsebox
Ifor Williams' most popular model, the HB505 will carry two horses of up to 16.2 hands. Fifty thousand trailers have been produced since the original model was launched and it is the most popular horse trailer in the UK and much of Europe. Designed with horse safety and comfort in mind, the side by side stalls are ideal for transporting two medium-sized horses.
HB510 Horsebox
For owners of larger horses up to 17.2 hands, the HB510 is the ideal choice, offering a more spacious alternative to the HB505. Longer, wider and taller, the stalls are generous and inviting to your horse.
HB510XL Horsebox
Offers the flexibility of carrying two horses or up to four ponies. Saloon style partitions create a flexible system that can be changed to suit a range of different stall configurations. A comfortable and safe environment for the horse is created through ample sliding windows and roof vents, ensuring plenty of light and fresh air, with thick rubber matting on the floor to help minimise travel fatigue on long journeys.
HB610 Horsebox
Represents the very latest horsebox design - it can carry up to two horses with room to spare or up to five ponies! By offering additional trailer width, the partition system allows up to five pony stalls (three pairs of partitions are fitted as standard). The wide front unload ramp makes this model unique and is likely to become a very popular sight at horse shows.
Horsebox Containers
Designed to be fitted onto new or used chassis cab vehicles, the container is the ideal choice for those not wishing to tow a trailer or have the expense and upkeep of a larger commercial vehicle. Containers are available to fit the Ford Transit, Fiat Iveco, Volkswagon LT and most popular makes of chassis cab vehicle. The containers have side by side stalls suitable for carrying horses of up to 16 hands. They are constructed to the same standards as the horsebox trailers, with additional storage space in the Luton cab.
