Gilfach Equitation - Backing Young Horses
We at Gilfach have earned a reputation for backing & bringing on, initial schooling, more advanced schooling, rehabilitation of "problem horses" and preparation of horses for sale, in an intelligent, professional & sympathetic manner. We take account of the nature of each horse's behaviour, and with understanding, patience and all round good horsemanship, are able to convince them that working with us is rewarding. Time is spent with each horse to develop mutual trust and respect, and increasing the capabilities/performance of the horse. Horses that leave Gilfach are ready, willing and able to continue their development with trust and confidence, and happy to oblige their rider/handler in tackling new tasks/experiences. Nothing is forced. No short-cuts are taken. The speed of progress is entirely determined by the horse's response, thus ensuring that he/she leaves Gilfach calm, confident and capable. We offer help, support and advice for owners when ever it is needed after the horse has left us. |

Horse 'n Home - Horse Sanctuary
Horse 'n Home is a registered non profit organisation in South Africa, that rescued horses from malnutrition and human abuse. These horses have been nurtured and trained and are used in the equitation centre. We also cater for outrides in our scenic, peaceful environment. Donations are always welcomed.
