The Native Pony & Cob Saddle Company Ltd
The Native Pony Saddle Company has evolved to fulfil a definite need in the equestrian world. We could see that pony owners had a limited choice when attempting to purchase a saddle for natives, show ponies, cobs, arabs and other wide horses. The Native Pony Saddle Company range of beautiful saddles are made by master saddlers using top quality English leathers assembled in Walsall.

The Native Pony saddles have been designed with horse and rider in mind. The saddles are made on traditional British standard wooden trees, giving a good bearing surface all the way along the pony's back and have a wide gullet. They are mostly close contact saddles, which fit well and give a neat and minimalist look. The saddles have a wide seat with a narrow twist offering maximum rider comfort. They come in a range of tree sizes and widths, fitting the smallest child to the widest horse and everything in between. All new Native Pony saddles come with a new saddle cover.

Placing an order for a Native Pony saddle

You can either follow the direction below, or, if you prefer, please contact us to arrange for us to come and visit you for a saddle fitting (subject to a call out charge).

Placing an Order

Make a template and take a photograph of your horse from the side, without a saddle on standing square.

How to take a Horse's Template:
1) Take a flexi-curve or something similar, pen and paper.
2) Find the horse's shoulder, place the flexi-curve two fingers behind the shoulder, over the withers (should be pointing down towards the girthing area).
3) Press the flexi-curve in to the horse's shape, keeping it straight at both sides, with the horse standing up square.
4) Place the flexi-curve on the paper on the paper and draw around the inside. Check a few times for accuracy.
5) Write your name, address and telephone number on the same piece of paper.

We need to know the following information:

1) Which type of saddle do you require?
2) What size seat do you need?
3) Which colour, most come in either very dark brown or black.
4) What breed is your horse?
5) What height is your horse?
6) How tall and how heavy is the rider?

Posted saddles take 24 hours (48 hours in some parts of the country) to arrive and come with a 7 days trial with full refund minus the postage (subject to terms and conditions)

Delivery: All goods are subject to availability and providing an item is in stock, should be delivered within 2 to 3 working days. All saddles require signing for. We endeavour to inform you should there be any delays due to heavy demand.
