Manor
Farm
This superb
14th Century farmhouse is nestled in the fold of the Quantock Hills
only 4 miles from the county town of Taunton. Relax in the idyllic
surroundings of this 140 acre stud farm - perfect for peaceful walks
fishing and riding around the farm and on the hills beyond.
Sue and John Honeyball have lived at Manor Farm for over 25 years.
Sue has been a professional show jumper, while John was a National
Hunt trainer for many years.

Manor Farm is full of character with cosy bedrooms all offering en-suite with TV, radio and tea making facilities. Enjoy a full farmhouse breakfast with fresh free-range eggs from the hens on the farm. Two superior holiday cottages set in a wonderful,
traditional rural setting. Each cottage has its own character and is fully equipped to the
highest standards with fresh linen, towels and soap. Cleaning is
provided.
The
Carterboy's Bothy
A luxurious self-contained cottage accommodates
two adults in a cosy double room. The Bothy overlooks the stables
at the heart of the farm.
The
Coach House
Converted from one of Manor Farm's existing
stone barns in the farmyard. With two double bedrooms upstairs and
a kitchen, bathroom and spacious living room downstairs.

Manor Farm can be yours exlusively yours for
the most wonderful celebrations with friends or family. You can
host a party in your very own country residence with stunning views.
Your own 'gilie' is available to tend to your parties needs, including
fishing, riding, or just making sure the fires at Manor Farm are
blazing on your return after a day of walking on the hills. Full
of character and cosy atmosphere, Manor Farm sleeps 14. It is the
perfect venue to celebrate with friends and family on any occasion.

Ride
Out from Manor Farm
Manor Farm nestles in the middle of the beautiful
Quantock Hills, where you can hack form miles amongst diverse terrain.
Natural woods, open moors and rolling hillside provide a variety of
wonderful scenery to enjoy from horseback. Hacks out include the beautiful
Cothelstone estate and Windown.
We ride out in all weather. Experience the real Wordsworth and Coleridge
country. There is no road work, just miles of track, open fields and
good going. |

Horses
at Manor Farm
Manor Farm has twenty five horses, including
thoroughbreds, cobs and heavyweight hunters. All
rides are escorted and all ages and levels of experience are catered
for, from the absolute novice to the experienced rider. Rides out
start from £30 per person for one and a half hours and £35 for two hours. and are usually about an hour and
a half.
Rides
to suit you...
At Manor Farm, anything is possible. If you'd
like to arrange a hack with friends and stop for a picnic, it can
be arranged. Just contact Sue and John Honeyball to discuss.

Bookings
Please book well in advance as we are very busy!
However, in the event of a cancellation, some last-minute bookings
may be available - please call us just in case. A pre-payment is required
from all clients who have not ridden with us before. |
Cancellation
notice
Should you be unable to attend your booking,
we require 24 hours notice when cancelling midweek rides, and 48
hours notice when cancelling weekend rides.

Equipment and Safety
A current BSI approved hat must be worn when riding (a new standard came into force from 1 January 1998 - Code No EN1384 1997 PAS:015). Hats may be borrowed from the stables, though we would appreciate a donation of £1 to charity for their use. Footwear is also an important safety factor and we advise you to ride in a shoe or boot with a slight heel. Trainers should not be worn. |
