CLASSICAL COMMUNICATIONS...
Jenny Rolfe's NEW book, 'Ride from the Heart' has just been published by JA Allen. CLICK HERE to read the Equinetourism.co.uk BOOK REVIEW

'Horses, a gift from God, will eventually mirror our own personalities and become our best teachers.'

Classical riding, using this system, is all about communicating with our horses with love, harmony and respect. It is about using the teachings of the Classical Masters to achieve these goals in training. Our greatest teacher will always be the horse...

Jenny Rolfe - Classical Riding Trainer

Jenny has spent a lifetime studying the ways of horses. Her training has taken Delfin and Maestu (her Andalusian stallions) to Portugal for training with Classical Masters, Antonio Borba Monteiro (Chief Instructor at the Portugese School of Equestrian Art) and Maestro Luis Valenca, in Lisbon. This, combined with training under some of the UK's top trainers, such as Paul Fielder, Isobel Wissells and Pammy Hutton, gives Jenny a huge wealth of experience and knowledge on which to draw. She has also been influenced by Nuno Oliverio, Sylvia Loch, Reiner Klimke and Paul Belasik.

These methods, together with Jenny's own insight and experience form the basis of Classical Communications, a system of training from 'join up' to advanced skills. Jenny is approved to teach Antonio Borba Monteiro's methods in England and has evolved a system of teaching - a logical progression from ground work to advanced riding skills, keeping in harmony with the horse to use his pride - not stress - to work with the rider.

STALLIONS
DELFIN XII (Taifa x Nevosa)

Delfin is a 16hh, 13 year old, silver grey advanced dressage PRE Graded Andalusian Stallion, bred at the World famous stud of Pedro Cardenas. He is sired by Taifa, who is by VASALLO II, the most prized Andalusian sire in the history of the breed.

Delfin's dam, Nervosa, is from the Agente/Maluso bloodlines, represented in the Spanish Olympic Dressage team previously by EVENTO and more recently, winning the Silver Medal with INVASOR. Delfin is closely related to SPANISH TEAM OLYMPIC STALLION  EVENTO’  through both stallions, AGENTE and MALUSO.

Delfin has truly athletic paces and was a bull fighting horse in Spain. He was well loved at Talland where he spent some time in training and his nature demands the lightest of riding aids - breathing and balance. Jenny has spent time training with Delfin in Lisbon, with Antonio Borba Monteiro (Chief Instructor at the Portugese School of Equestrian Art) where Delfin was admired for his exceptional talent in training. He has joie-de-vivre in his training and works loose, without tack, from the ground, with only body language and breathing as communications.

Jenny will be happy to demonstrate Delfin's skills, extreme beauty and exceptional personality. Delfin's role at present is to show the result of Jenny's training system in clinics and demonstrations.

Delfin XII
MAESTU (Gaucho III x Oficiala XIII)

Maestu is a 16hh, 8 year old dark bay PRE Graded Andalusian Stallion, bred at the prestigious stud of Senorio de Barian. His sire, Gaucho III, is a top international dressage stallion and the most famous Andalusian stallion in America.

Maestu is a magnificent horse, winning top awards in Spain, including Finalist at SICAB 2000 (which is the largest show in the world for Andalusians). Both sides of his pedigree represent numerous leading Show and international dressage bloodlines. His dam, Oficiala XIII is the dam of many winners in best movement classes.

Maestu is sired by  International   dressage stallion  GAUCHO 111   (short listed AMERICAN OLYMPIC TEAM).GAUCHO  111 is sired by PANADERO  V111 , who was also the sire of   INVASOR 11 (Silver Medal team OLYMPIC TEAM). Maestu is also related to INVASOR through his highly successful dam line.

Maestu is a hugely talented horse who can demonstrate many skills in hand and under saddle. He adores jumping. His training began with Jenny and he is a testament to the methods she is developing. Maestu has been in training in Lisbon under the direction of Classical Maestro, Luis Valenca. He was very taken with Maestu's beauty and extreme trainability. Maestu has elevated paces with amazing cadence and rhythm - ideal for dressage competition. He is currently used with Delfin to demonstrate Jenny's Classical training and visitors are welcome (by appointment) to see his superb, kind, generous nature, along with his beauty and paces under saddle.

Comments made about Maestu:
'The most beautiful stallion I have ever seen.' Professional Trainer
'A Spanish version of the famous dressage horse "Rembrandt".' Professional Trainer
