Viva!
In markets across Poland, farm horses, foals and even children's ponies are sold to dealers and loaded into trucks - almost all to face a terrifying and painful journey to Italy where they will be slaughtered for meat. Every year, 30,000 horses leave Poland for the slaughterhouses of Italy. There is no rest, no water and no food for many on the road to misery - a five day journey across six countries. Viva!'s campaign has helped to save some 70,000 horses a year. With your help we can save the rest. |

The Exmoor Pony Society
Reg Charity: 1043036
The Exmoor Pony is a rare, unique, survivor. For many centuries it existed on the moor with little human interference, except for the annual 'harvest' of young animals. In the last 200 years, changes, such as enclosure of much of the moor, intensification of agriculture, 'improvement' of our native ponies by cross-breeding, and the spread of motor transport, led to a decline. In 1921 the Exmoor Pony Society was set up, largely by local breeders and enthusiasts, to ensure the continuation of the true, pure-bred Exmoor Pony and to overcome its many threats.

Reg Charity: 264818 - over 12,000 donkeys rescued in the UK and Ireland
Free advice and support available on various donkey topics such as feeding, laminitis, caring for elderly donkeys...and much more. The aims of The Donkey Sanctuary are to prevent the suffering of donkeys worldwide through the provision of high quality, professional advice, training and support on donkey welfare. In the UK and Ireland permanent sanctuary is provided to any donkey in need of refuge. The Donkey Sanctuary was founded by Dr Elisabeth D Svendsen, MBE in 1969 and was registered as a charity in 1973. Just outside the town of Sidmouth, The Donkey Sanctuary is home to around 500 donkeys. Set in unspoilt farmland and countryside, visitors return time and again to meander among the donkeys and absorb the serene and relaxed surroundings. Whether at the Training Centre in Devon, or at selected centres throughout the UK, The Donkey Sanctuary provides training in donkey care to owners and anyone who may be contemplating acquiring donkeys. |

Redwings Horse Sanctuary
Reg Charity: 1068911
Redwings Horse Sanctuary was established in 1984 and is the UK's largest horse charity, with more than 1200 equines in its direct care and working to save horses, ponies, donkeys and mules whose future would otherwise be bleak. We investigate cases of cruelty countrywide and offer advice to horse owners. Our work is funded entirely through donations. Every year we provide a safe, secure home for rescued animals who, through no fault of their own, have fallen upon difficult times and are in great need of our help and care. Whatever their story, we do everything within our power to help them. The Charity’s base, which is in Norfolk, includes our specialist veterinary team and equine hospital, welfare team, equine reception, rehabilitation and rehoming teams and administration. We currently have Visitor Centres in Norfolk, Suffolk and Warwickshire and are a nationwide organisation. As a charity our work is funded wholly by donations from individuals such as yourself. With your support we can achieve more.
There are many ways you can help – you may like to make a one off donation, set up a regular standing order payment, adopt one of horses or make a purchase from our extensive range of gifts. Whichever way you choose to help, we thank you. |

World Horse Welfare (formerly ILPH)
Reg Charity: 206658
The mission of the World Horse Welfare is to protect horses from abuse and alleviate their suffering by rehabilitating, campaigning and educating worldwide. Their vision is a world where the horse is used by never abused. World Horse Welfare works hard to improve the welfare standards of horses being transported and exported for slaughter; it runs four recovery and rehabilitation centres in the UK - where abused and neglected horses are cared for and rehomed, wherever possible, in loving homes; and it works with communities in the developing world to provide education to improve the general welfare of equines. For more information on the work of the World Horse Welfare please visit www.ilph.org. |

Pawsawyle Cat Rescue
One of the best way of ridding your stables of vermin is to take on a couple of feral cats. The very presence of these cats is often enough to see the exit of vermin. All they need is to be fed twice a day and all your mouse problems will be over. It is far better and safer than using rat poison. Pawsawyle Cat Rescue is a small, privately-run concern, taking in and rehoming stray and abandoned cats and kittens and, on occasions, removing feral cats from a bad situation and relocating them at stables etc. Over the past seven years, we have relocated many feral cats and all, to our knowledge, have been successful. It is a fact that well fed cats are better hunters, so giving feral cats two square meals a day will mean they'll do an even better job. If you would like to consider giving a cat a goood home, please contact us for more information. |

Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance Trust Lottery
Reg Charity: 1078685
The Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance was launched on 23 March 2000 and has already completed over 2500 missions, a lot of them life saving. The Charity has to raise in excess of £80,000 per month to ensure that this vital service, a service which none of us know when we may need, continues to serve the counties of Dorset and Somerset. One of our main sources of regular funding (income needs to be consistent and regular) will come from our Lottery. We need you to become a member. Not only can you help to SAVE LIVES, but you also have the chance of winning one of the cash prizes every week, the jackpot being up to £1000. The money raised contributes greatly to the cost of the Air Ambulance operation and keeps it flying. To join, please telephone 01202 316575 and ask for a form. |
