Higher Rodhuish Farm is situated in the hamlet of Rodhuish, 1.5 miles off the A39 surrounded by unspoilt countryside on the edge of Exmoor National Park and close to the medieval village of Dunster with the Castle and Yarn Market. With excellent stabling, Higher Rodhuish Farm is very well placed if you are planning to ride from the Quantocks to Exmoor. There is wonderful riding directly from the farm to Dunster, Wheddon Cross and Dunkery Beacon. Luggage can be transferred to your next stop by arrangement.



Holiday Accommodation at Higher Rodhuish Farm

Holidays for you and your horse - and open all year!
An ideal centre for touring coasts and moors, superb walking and riding with direct access to forests and moorland. Higher Rodhuish Farm offers comfortable stabling and turnout for your horses and accommodation for you. The area is also ideal for mountain biking, bird watching - or simply relaxing - and there's plenty to do for non-horsey friends and family.

The Farm House ETC***
A beautiful farm house offering comfortable accommodation with central heating throughout. A warm and friendly welcome awaits you with good home cooking and all help to ensure you have a most enjoyable stay.

Crown Cottage ETC**
A self-catering semi-detached cottage near to the farm which sleeps 5/6. Stabling is available and convenient for your horse at the farm. Bring your dog too, as pets are welcome!
This comfortable cottage has good views of unspoilt countryside with its own private garden. The kitchen has an electric cooker, fridge, washing machine and microwave. There is a lounge with woodburner and a dining room. Three bedrooms and bathroom, colour TV, night storage heaters.

Payment is inclusive of electric. Duvets and bed linen are supplied.
Short breaks are available - minimum 3 nights.

Tacker Street Cottage, Roadwater ETC**
A self-catering semi-detached cottage which sleeps 6. Pets are welcome!
A comfortable cottage set in a delightful woodland valley with a large garden, one edge of which is bordered by woods and very close to a stream with a small wooden bridge, which must be crossed to reach the cottage from the lane.
Modernised kitchen with woodburner, electric cooker, fridge and microwave.

Lounge, bathroom and three bedrooms. Night storage heaters, open fire, colour TV. Car parking space nearby.

Payment is inclusive of electric. Duvets and bed linen are supplied.
Short breaks available - minimum 3 nights.

Short and Long Term Livery for your horse
Higher Rodhuish farm offers a fantastic riding location, with good access to the A39 for travel to competitions and shows. The stables are newly refurbished and there is all year round turnout for your horse.

Delightful cobbled yard with nine stables plus storage and tack room. Three boxes (one with storage area) and two wooden boxes. Three new boxes were added in 2004.

Size of stables:   Approx 12' x 10' and larger.
Electricity and water supply: Yes One power point and water by taps. The owners are planning to install more lighting.
Feed store facilities: Yes In the yard
Tack room facilities: Yes Tack room in the cobbled yard
Bedding: Yes Straw is available from the farm. Other bedding must be supplied.
Hay and Haylage Yes Hay can be supplied.

There are four fields and two orchards. The fields have water troughs, one with a running stream. Fencing is post and wire. There is turnout available all year round.

Easy access to Croydon Hill woodland and moorland and also Dunster Deer Park and woodlands.Riding is possible on the beach 3.5 miles away.
